Community Planting Day - Lake Hayes Pavilion

Lake Hayes Pavilion planting site enjoys some of the best views Queenstown has to offer. Nestled on the edge of Lake Hayes, our volunteers have planted 2000 native trees and shrubs here so far, and we are excited to be adding to the count this spring.

On Saturday 14th September, we invite our whole community to help plant out a further 1500 native plants! The hardest work (digging the holes!) is already done and plants will be laid out – your job will be to get them safely into their forever-home.

Time | Location | What to wear:

*It’s drop-in style so join us when you can between 9.00 - 12.00
*Wear sturdy shoes and comfortable outdoor clothing
*Bring a pair of gardening gloves and a water bottle
*Parking is next to the Pavilion; or cycle/walk via the Waiwhakaata/Lake Hayes Trail.
